UGANDA - FUFA on Tuesday 8th Sept 2026 joined thousands of mourners at Karuzika Palace in Fort Portal to pay tribute to His Majesty the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, King of Tooro, ahead of his final burial.

On behalf of FUFA President Hon. Moses Hassim Magogo, the delegation was led by 1st Vice President Mr. Justus Mugisha and included Executive Committee Members Mr. Ronnie Kalema and Mr. Deo Mutabazi, Delegates Mr. Sande Moni and Mr. Robert Gramdicks, and Deputy CEO Ms. Sheba Ampaire Ronah.

The delegation stood in solidarity with the Royal Family and the people of Tooro to honour a true friend of football whose love for the Uganda Cranes and passion for the game will forever be remembered.

The late Omukama will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Karambi Royal Tombs in Fort Portal City a date that coincides with the 31st anniversary of his coronation.

Currently, his body is lying in state at the Karuziika Royal Palace during a nine-day official mourning period.
