GULU CITY - More than 80 participants are taking part in the National Certificates Referee and Coaching Course organized in Northern Region under the Uganda Takekwondo Federation (UTF)in Gulu City.

Lango is represented by two people namely Omara Geoffrey AKA JOE 7 and Omara Daniel

Omara Geoffrey said the fewer numbers of participants from lango is attributed to financial constraints for paying the Course.

He encouraged the people of lango to support Martial Arts

The coaching course, which started on Wednesday this week, will end on Thursday. At the end of the training, all participants will be awarded certificates.

The initiative is to professionalize and empower boxing across Uganda under the theme “Official, Professional, Development, in Uganda Takekwondo

According to the official announcement, the course has attracted each participant to a fee of 100,000 Uganda Shillings only, exclusive of accommodation and feeding.

The courses are expected to equip participants with modern officiating and coaching skills, boosting the standards of boxing in the Northern Region and Uganda at large.
