Community Blood Drive Held in Lira City

The Pakistan Association in Lira recently hosted a voluntary blood donation drive at GB Restaurant in Lira City. The initiative aimed to bolster blood supplies for local health facilities.

During the event, participants were urged to actively contribute to blood donation efforts. It was emphasized that voluntary donors are crucial for maintaining adequate blood stocks, which are vital for life-saving treatments, emergency care, and managing serious medical conditions.

The drive also highlighted the importance of blood donation in reducing maternal and pediatric mortality rates within the region. The organizers, the Pakistan Association in Lira, were commended for their dedication and ongoing humanitarian contributions to the Lango sub-region and Uganda.
